Artist Statement
As a multidisciplinary artist with a background in architecture and Buddhism I produce work that is related to these practices. To satisfy my curiosity and love of making things, the creative process could begin either spontaneously with how to use found objects or conceptually with the search for material to communicate meaning.
My work explores the potential of a variety of materials that when assembled and used, create for me experiences which are symbolic of truth or represent a glimmer of the characteristic known as wisdom. The intention of the work is to present an environment that eases and calms the discursive mind of the observer and generate a moment of clarity and awareness that produces an openness in consciousness like that of a child full of curiosity and wonder.
